Micah is Two Months Old

Yep, baby boy you are two months old already! It makes mommy a little sad to see how fast these precious "baby days" are flying by. What are you up to this month?


- Micah you have become quite a big boy this month. You jumped from the 25 % for weight up to the 75%! At your six week appointment with Dr. Delany, you where 11lbs and 9oz, 22 in. long (50%) and your head circumference was 39cm (50%).

-You are wearing a size 2 diaper. Mommy had to pack away all of the newborn clothes already. The 0-3 month are getting small and the 3-6 month clothes are fitting well.

- Thankfully you handled your first round of shots very well. You have been pretty healthy so far. You have had a stuffy nose for over a month now :( You make the cutest little snorting noises that have lead to some very embarrassing nick names that I will not tell your friends :) I will say that you and the bulb syringe are NOT friends and mommy with be very happy when the warm weather gets here so you will clear up.

- You started to smile! Around 5-6 weeks you started giving us regular smiles. They are so sweet but you are a little stingy with them. You mostly smile in the calm sweet moments when we are looking into your eyes or after you have nursed.


- You still love to nurse! During the day, you eat anywhere from every 1-5 hours, it just depends on the day. At night, you eat at least twice. Mommy had to start back to work this month which means you have to take a few bottles of mommy's milk. Daddy says that you eat well compared to how your brother Jonah took bottles. Of course you still prefer mommy and will only take a bottle when you have to.

- Micah your sleeping routine is just as irregular as your eating. You are having longer awake periods but still sleep the majority of the day. Your naps during the day can be almost 4 hours long! At night you still sleep in the bed with mommy. Just the past few days, you actually have been sleeping on my chest. Daddy said I am spoiling you and I know he is right, but you are my baby and I can't help it :)

- You are still our little "Monchichi" with the hairy little ears. I hope it never goes away!!

-Micah your brothers are so in love with you. Jonah has started to take more of an interest in you this month. Every time you "mess" your diaper and Jonah is close enough to hear it, he laughs so hard. He even gives you a little pat on the head as if to say "good job buddy". Caleb has even started to call you HIS baby.

My sweet baby you have no idea how much we love you! Every day we fall more head over heals for you. I can't wait to see what tomorrow will bring us.
