Apple Picking Fun

This weekend we had a wonderful time as a family apple picking. This was something new for everyone. Having grown up in Florida and Mississippi, this was something Mike and I had never done before. This was the first weekend for U-Pick so the crowds were low and there were a ton of apples still on the trees. The down side was that it was very warm and didn't quite feel like fall.

Yummy! We were all surprised at how different the fresh apples tasted compared to store bought.

Here is Daddy climbing to get to the biggest Mutsu apples.

The Mutsu quickly became a favorite!

Daddy gave the boys a lift to get the apples off the top.

The beautiful mountain view!
Even Micah enjoyed himself!

Caleb enjoyed watching the bee hive, especially after learning how important they are to the apples during our study.

And just to prove that family outings with three little boys aren't always easy- here is a picture of Jonah having a fit because Daddy wouldn't pick him up, ha ha. It may not always be easy but is most certainly worth it!!

He was quickly distracted by an apple. We had to take it away before he ate through the core!

What a blessing it is to be able to spend time together as a family. Thank you Heavenly Father for each wonderful day we have with these amazing little boys!

Aww! This looks familiar :) We go to B J Reece Apple Orchard every year. Or least the last 2 years and we're planning on going next Saturday. The Mutsu is my mom's favorite. It's so fun. Do they still have the apple cannon? That thing is crazy!
